This image is about a set of telescopic tubes we manufactured, which are used for building vertical antenna. These aluminum tubes are made of alloy 6061 with T5 tempered. This is just one example for application of aluminum tubes, in fact these items are used extensively from the household tools to piping systems and many other applications.
There are some main reasons why aluminum tubes are used everywhere around the world.
1. The good properties of aluminum. Aluminium is a metal material with high strength but low weight, good malleability, corrosion resistance, easy to machine and durable. Aluminum is about one third the weight of carbon steel but may have the same strength of some low carbon steel.
2. Precision shape. The extruded aluminum tubes are made with the method of hot aluminum extrusion process, they are pushed out through the hot extruded dies. In this way it is not complicated to achieve the correct and steady dimensions of the tube shapes, around 0.1 tolerance is approved on mass production for the small aluminum tubes, they can be made precisely to the needs of customers and cut to the required lengths easily.
3. Easy to machine. When we have the tubes in hand, it is not complicated to do the additional machining works on the tubes to achieve the final part for assembly. You can cut, drill, cnc machine or weld the tubes. We also provide the further machining services to our customers if they need.
